DISA developing plans for data discovery services contract

The Defense Information Systems Agency is looking for support of its existing compliant data discovery service.

DISA is determining if there are companies that can provide development, sustainment and infrastructure for the discovery service, according to a sources sought notice.

The data discovery service provides compliant data to users based on their organization’s mission and authorities. The contract’s work will support any community of interest.

DISA needs companies that, among other services, are capable in system engineering, the ability to tag personally identifiable information in high-volume streaming data without slowing down the stream, managing a scalable cloud infrastructure to include system and database administration, and the capability to adjust the database and user interface as necessary to receive new data sources with different schema.

The contract would have a nine-month base period and four one-year option periods.

Through the notice, DISA is determining the level at which small businesses can be involved.

DISA released its sources sought notice Oct. 23. Responses are due by Nov. 9.
