Deloitte to support USAID on energy strategies in Vietnam

Deloitte Consulting of Arlington, Va., received a $9.4 million contract from the U.S. Agency on International Development to support the Vietnam Low Emission Energy Program (V-LEEP).
Deloitte will help develop a low emission strategy for the country’s energy sector, enhance the capacity and improve the environment for renewable energy development, and increase the energy efficiency adoption and compliance.
USAID’s program aims to boost approaches for making more climate-conscience decisions as well as create better disaster mitigation strategies. Through V-LEEP, Deloitte and USAID will address global climate change, industrial competitiveness and private-sector investment, the involvement of more women in the renewable energy and energy efficiency fields, and the nation’s energy security.
USAID announced the contract on Oct. 12.
