Treasury agency wants input for IT service management upgrades

The Treasury Department’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) plans to upgrade more IT service management applications in the ServiceNow program following successes in previous application upgrades.

The OCC wants to know who offers implementation and maintenance services for ServiceNow, estimated costs of those services, and how the programs are set up for implementing new applications and performing ongoing maintenance.

The OCC wants to hear from companies with Platform-as-a-Service and Software-as-a-Service solutions that have integrated ServiceNow applications related to IT services management, service management across the enterprise, including facilities, human resource service automation and marketing, and employee self-service redesign.

OCC plans to launch more ServiceNow integrations with products such as PeopleSoft, nlyte, IBM’s NetCool Network Management, and SolarWinds. It also plans to leverage inbound email actions to import data.

OCC’s interest in more integrations comes after successful integrations. In 2013, OCC began maturation of IT service delivery, leveraging ServiceNow’s PaaS, configuration management database, incident management, and service request management via the service catalog, knowledge management, and problem management in ServiceNow.

The OCC regulates and supervises all U.S. national banks and federal savings associations. It also supervises the federal branches and agencies of foreign banks.

The OCC released the request for information Aug. 12. Responses are due by Sept. 9.
