GSA tweaks EIS to entice DOD
GSA is making change to the solicitation for the $50 billion Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract that it hopes will make the contract more attractive to DOD.
The General Services Administration has added a clause into the solicitation for the $50 billion Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract to make it more attractive to the Defense Information Systems Agency.
The clause was added to Section J of the contract and posted on Interact on June 30, according to an FCW report. The section covers the geographic coverage section and deals with requirements for common operations, process flows, data exchange details, ordering, billing, inventory management and SLA management.
EIS is the follow on to the Networx contract and is part of GSA’s NS 2020 telecommunications acquisition strategy.
Bringing DISA on board EIS “would be a game changer” because DOD doesn’t use Networx for its command and control network services, Amando Gavino Jr., director of GSA’s Office of Network Services Programs told FCW Staff Writer Mark Rockwell.
