GSA set to release agile RFP
The General Services Administration is set to release a request for proposals for a blanket purchasing agreement for agile services delivery vendors in the coming days.

The General Services Administration is set to release a request for proposals for a blanket purchasing agreement for agile services delivery vendors in the coming days.
"We're expecting it to come out this week," said Mary Davie, GSA's assistant commissioner for integrated services technology services at the Federal IT Acquisition Summit in Washington, D.C., on June 2.
In remarks to reporters at the conference, she declined to provide many details on the imminent RFP, but said it would be released in FedBizOpps and would be a multiple award vehicle.
The effort stems from GSA's digital development group, 18F, partnering with ITS in the winter to establish a government-wide BPA that featured vendors specializing in agile delivery services, such as user-centered design, agile software development and DevOps.
In a January post on GSA's Interact site, the agency said the goal of the proposed BPA would be to decrease software acquisition cycles to less than four weeks from solicitation to contract, as well as expedite the delivery of a minimum viable product within three months.
