DHS sizing up small firm cybersecurity
Can the cybersecurity industry provide affordable solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses? The Department of Homeland Security wants to know.
According to a Feb. 20 request for information, DHS is seeking input on how the industry can help smaller companies adopt the Cybersecurity Framework released earlier this month by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
DHS will collect responses through April 20, FCW reported, and will use responses to gauge whether and how the government might encourage cyber security providers to scale protection for smaller enterprises.
