SAIC nabs $100M contract with Defense Threat Reduction Agency
SAIC has won a $100 million contract with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency to provide it with integrated logistics services to help the agency carry out its mission.
Science Applications International Corp. has won a $100 million single-award contract with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency to provide integrated logistics services.
Under the contract, SAIC will provide integrated logistics services including procurement, shipping, warehousing, international travel support and program support for worldwide Cooperative Threat Reduction operations, the company said in a release.
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is used by the Defense Department to counter weapons of mass destruction, and its employees are subject matter experts on them, addressing chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosive threats, SAIC said.
"SAIC's long-standing support to DTRA, its expertise in logistics, and DoD program support will enable us to assist DTRA worldwide in its CTR mission," said Mark Escobar, senior vice president of the company’s DoD Agencies and Commands Group.
