Exelis sues Navy to stop pricing disclosure
Exelis turns to the court to stop the disclosure of its pricing information to another company chasing one of its contracts.
Exelis and the Navy are battling over whether the Navy should disclose the company’s pricing information. Exelis has filed suit against the Navy to block the release.
The possibility of the disclosure was triggered by a Freedom of Information Act request by L-3 Communications, according to the Washington Business Journal.
L-3 requested the information on a contract for range instrumentation systems currently held by Exelis, which expires this December.
Prior to the suit being filed, the Navy rejected Exelis’ request not to release the information. However, the Navy has agreed not to release the information while the lawsuit is pending.
