GD Advanced Info Systems wins $30M submarine support contract
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems has won a contract with the Navy to provide engineering and technical services in support of submarines.
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems has won a $29.7 million contract with the U.S. Navy for engineering and technical services in support of Navy submarines.
Under the contract, General Dynamics will continue to migrate the AN/BYG-1 tactical control system from a technology insertion baseline to a TI-12 and integrate advanced processing build.
The company will also begin development of the TI-14 baselines and deliver this capability to multiple variants on multiple submarine platforms, the Defense Department said.
Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va., and is expected to be completed by July 2014.
Funding in the amount of $4 million will be obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
