GDIT wins $39.9M IT enterprise services task order
GDIT will provide consolidated IT enterprise services and support for the National Defense University's five colleges.
General Dynamics Information Technology will become the single-service provider for consolidated information technology enterprise services and support for the National Defense University as the result of a task order worth $39.9 million. The contract will span five years if all options are exercised, and was awarded by the General Services Administration Federal Systems Integration and Management Center.
The company said it will provide enterprise service desk, data center and application support services that enable the National Defense University to better use information technology resources throughout the enterprise with minimum service disruption.
General Dynamics will provide network availability; information assurance services; server administration and maintenance; systems engineering; and network operation and maintenance to all five university colleges -- the Dwight D. Eisenhower School of National Security and Resource Strategy; National War College; Joint Forces Staff College; Information Resources Management College; and the College of International Security Affairs.
“Enterprise IT is driving innovation for defense, intelligence and civilian government agencies, including infrastructure consolidation and modernization, cross-domain information sharing and cloud computing,” said Zannie Smith, senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Technology’s National and Homeland Security division.
