GD wins $16.2M Army IT contract for Afghan support
General Dynamics Information to perform information technology services in Afghanistan by August 2013.
General Dynamics Corp. has won a $16.2 million contract to provide IT support services to the U.S. Army in Afghanistan.
All work will be performed in Afghanistan, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 23, 2013.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in Kabul, Afghanistan, is the contracting activity. The Army received five bids for the contract, according to the Defense Department announcement.
