Agilex personnel moves strengthen defense, intell business

Marianne Meins and John Edwards will help direct national security and emerging technologies programs.

Agilex has selected Marianne Meins to be president of the company’s Intel/Defense Sector business with overall responsibility for the company’s business operations supporting the defense and intelligence communities.

Her portfolio will include business growth, solution development, service delivery and customer satisfaction, according to a March 8 company announcement.

The Intel/Defense Sector group, one of the company’s largest business units, focuses exclusively on helping members of the defense and intelligence communities address today’s more dynamic missions, evolving threats and tighter budgets.

Meins brings over 25 years of business and technology leadership in the defense, intelligence and homeland security sectors to Agilex.

She most recently served as senior vice president for national security initiatives at Secure Mission Solutions and as vice president and general manager of the company's Systems Engineering and Security Sector business.

Previously, she established the cyber and intelligence business solutions group for Olive Group North America and she also worked at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems as director of engineering for the company’s ISR division.,

The Chantilly, Va., government contractor also announced the appointment of John Edwards to the position of vice president for national security initiatives.

In his new role, he will lead strategic programs focused on the use of emerging technologies to address critical challenges within the national security arena. These technologies include advanced analytics, smart phones and tablets, and cloud computing, the Agilex announcement said.
