InfoZen has added former Homeland Security Deaprtment Secretary Michael Chertoff to its board of directors.

InfoZen provides IT, consulting and engineering services to the government. The company appointed Chertoff to the board to take advantage of his homeland security expertise, said Raj Ananthanpillai, InfoZen’s chairman, CEO and president.

The addition will help the company “further sharpen our business strategy and focus as we work with U.S. government agencies on homeland security projects,” Ananthanpillai said.

Chertoff led DHS from 2005 to 2009. He is the co-founder and managing principal of the Chertoff Group, an international consulting firm that provides strategic security advice and assistance focused on homeland security issues.
