Annapolis firm gets Army order for satellite terminals
TeleCommunication Systems Inc. has been awarded a $60.8 million order to provide satellite terminals to the Army in two stages in 2012.
The award falls under the Army's $5 billion World-Wide Satellite Systems indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract vehicle to support the Program Manager for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical.
TeleCommunication Systems Inc., an Annapolis, Md., provider of secure mobile communications technology, has been awarded a new $60.8 million order to provide satellite terminals to the Army.
The contract initially calls for $53.1 million for Tactical SHF Satellite Terminals with the remainder to be paid if the options are fully exercised, the company said in a July 15 announcement.
Delivery of the terminals is expected in the second and third quarters of 2012.
