DHS forum to plot Eagle II strategy

The Homeland Security Department will hold an online forum for interested vendors for DHS' upcoming Eagle II-unrestricted IT procurement vehicle.

The Homeland Security Department is holding an online vendor outreach forum Nov. 18 to talk about strategies for its “Eagle II” unrestricted procurement, officials announced.

The department's Office of the Chief Procurement Officer is hosting the forum to present potential acquisition strategies and opportunities for the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions II (EAGLE-II) unrestricted initiative, according to a Nov. 4 notice on the Federal Business Opportunities Web site. The unrestricted initiative is competition that is open to all bidders, regardless of size.

The department is considering Eagle II as a successor to the $45 billion Eagle procurement vehicle for IT services departmentwide.

The forum will be conducted as a live meeting on the Web. Individuals who wish to attend must send an email request by 9 a.m. Nov. 16 to the e-mail address listed in the notice.
