Cubic Corp. will provide wargaming and analytical support to the Naval War College under a contract worth $6.5 million over five years.

Under the contract, Cubic Applications Inc. will research, design, implement and analyze a series of wargames for the college’s War Gaming Department, company officials said Nov. 17. The company will develop a long-range strategy for the games, define sponsor requirements, facilitate concept and planning conferences, and conduct and analyze the wargames.

The department conducts seminars, workshops, conferences and wargames for various Navy agencies and fleet commands, the Defense Department, and interagency organizations.

Cubic has nearly three decades of experience working with the War Gaming Department, company officials said.

The company announced earlier this year that it had won a $30 million contract to support joint training and exercises for the U.S. Africa Command.

Cubic Applications is a unit of Cubic Corp., of San Diego. The parent company ranks No. 96 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
