ManTech acquires cybersecurity firm

ManTech has acquired DDK Technology Group to bolster cybersecurity services and add employees with high-level security clearances.
ManTech International Corp. has acquired DDK Technology Group Inc., a provider of cybersecurity services to the Defense Department with a particular focus on the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but DDK, of Lanham, Md., will likely add about $14 million to ManTech’s 2009 revenue, officials said.
DDK provides services that include cyber intelligence analysis, computer and network forensics, and counterterrorism and counterintelligence support and analysis. All of DDK’s employees have high-level security clearances, ManTech officials said.
“This acquisition continues ManTech’s focus on the high-end intelligence arena and expands our footprint in cybersecurity to NCIS,” said George Pedersen, ManTech’s chairman and chief executive officer.
Aronson Capital Partners was DDK’s adviser in the deal. The transaction is the third acquisition Aronson has closed in 2009, the firm said.
ManTech, of Fairfax, Va., is ranked No. 36 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
