BearingPoint to support Army logistics

BearingPoint Inc. will support Army logistics, maintenance and supply efforts under a new contract.

BearingPoint Inc. will support Army logistics, maintenance and supply efforts under a contract worth up to $21.5 million over two years.

Under the contract, BearingPoint will furnish support for acquisition and program management, strategic business planning, system engineering, risk management and various enterprise service needs, company officials said March 11.

The contractor also will assist with the design, development and sustainment of specialized government and off-the-shelf software applications, the officials said.

The work will be done for the Army’s Product Director for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services. PD ALTESS supplies information management and information technology support to various Army offices and organizations.

BearingPoint has supported the PD ALTESS for nearly four years, company officials said.

The company, based in McLean, Va., ranks No. 28 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
