QinetiQ to group businesses into three divisions
QinetiQ plans April 1 restructuring into three groups.
By April 1, QinetiQ North America will have completed the integration of the myriad acquisitions it has made over recent years and will align the company into three groups.
According to a Washington Technology analysis, QinetiQ has made 17 acquisitions since 2004. Several of the acquired companies, such as ITS Corp., Apogen Technologies Inc. and Foster-Miller Inc., had been making acquisitions of their own before QinetiQ acquired them.
The company has been working on integrating the various pieces for a while. For instance, the Apogen name was dropped over a year ago, company officials said.
On April 1, all of the names of acquired companies will stop being used accept in rare instances, officials said.
The new structure has three groups that will report into the company’s McLean, Va., headquarters:
- Mission Solutions Group, Fairfax, Va., led by Mike Stolarik, president.
- Systems Engineering Group, Huntsville, Ala., led by Garrett Martz, president.
- Technology Solutions Group, Waltham, Mass., led by Bill Ribich, president.
