VSE wins Army program support deal

VSE Corp. will provide a broad range of technical support services to the Army required to sustain the family of vehicles used to safely remove improvised explosive devices under a task order worth as much as $389 million over two years.

Under the task order, VSE will furnish program management, integrated logistics, and maintenance and repair services for the Army’s Product Manager for Assured Mobility Systems, company officials said Jan. 29.

PM-AMS is part of the Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support.

VSE’s Federal Group Communications & Engineering Division and Field Support Services Division will carry out the assignment, company officials said. The units will perform the work primarily in Southwest Asia, they said.

VSE, of Alexandria, Va., provides engineering and consulting services, systems integration, infrastructure support and information technology management services to the federal government.

The company ranks No. 46 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
