Argon to speed up Army intelligence systems

Argon ST Inc. will provide the Army with information technology support designed to accelerate its intelligence capabilities under an $11 million contract.

The award from the Army's Communications-Electronics Command calls for Argon to deliver advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities using the company's Prism product.

Prism enables users to maintain a tactical advantage through the rapid insertion of software enhancements, company officials said.

The warfighters' ISR capabilities must adapt faster than threat technologies, said Terry Collins, Argon chairman and chief executive officer, in a statement released Dec. 3.

Argon ST, of Fairfax, Va., designs and develops systems and sensors for the command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance markets. This includes signals intelligence, electronic support measures, electronic warfare, information operations, and imaging and acoustic systems.
