Stanley wins pair of defense contracts
The pair of military contracts award to Stanley total $11 million.
Stanley Inc. has won two military logistics support contracts totaling $11 million.
Under a four-year, $9 million contract with the Naval Sea Logistics Center, Stanley will provide program, acquisition, systems engineering and logistics management services, company officials said. The award is the company's first contract with the logistics center, which serves as the Naval Sea Technical Agent for developing, maintaining and assessing lifestyle logistics support policies and services.
In the course of its work, the company will support special projects in the areas of readiness, configuration management, manpower, supply, maintenance, facility requirements, documentation and test equipment logistics services. The work will take place primarily in Washington, D.C.
Under a three-year, $2 million contract, Stanley will provide the Marine Corps Systems Command with a decision-making information technology tool.
The award was made through the Commercial Enterprise Omnibus Support Services contract vehicle to support the development of an automated, Web-based Pre-Positioning Program Decision Support and Analysis Tool.
The decision-making application will be used by the Marine Corps' Maritime Prepositioning Force and Preposition Program-Norway. It will provide analysis to optimize decisions on the type of quantity equipment and supplies that need to be forward deployed to best serve the Marines.
Stanley, or Arlington, Va., ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
