Lockheed gets NIH support services deal

Lockheed Martin Corp. will provided technical, scientific, management and administrative services to a new office of the National Institutes of Health under a five-year, $32 million contract.

The single-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract will support the Office of Portfolio Analysis and Strategic Initiatives, a new office that provides NIH with methods to manage complex portfolios in the areas of science and public health.

Lockheed Martin will assist in designing, developing and maintaining Web sites and databases for the program, company officials said. The company also will provide program evaluation and analysis, manage projects, and formulate standards and policies.

Lockheed Martin, of Bethesda, Md., ranks No. 1 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
