Harris gets Air Force support services work
Harris Corp. will provide the Air Force with a variety of IT support services.
Harris Technical Services Corp. will provide the Air Force with a range of operations, maintenance and logistics support services under a contract worth $60.7 million.
The network and space operations and maintenance contract calls for Harris Technical Services to provide the Air Force Space Command's 50th Space Wing with configuration management, electrical power systems management, database applications support and 24-hour maintenance, the Air Force announced Sept. 12.
This will include industrial safety and communication security, as well as maintenance and operations for the communications-computer systems of the Defense Satellite Communications System.
In addition, Harris will provide operations, maintenance, logistics and training support for the remote tracking stations of the Air Force Satellite Control Network and for Global Positioning System ground antennas and monitoring stations, in addition to software analysis, support and security at New Boston Air Force Station, N.H.
