ACS wins New York City document management deal
Affiliated Computer Services has won a contract to continue providing document management services to New York City's Human Resources Administration.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. will continue to provide document management and associated services to New York City's Human Resources Administration under a three-year, $17 million contract.
Under the contract's terms, ACS, of Dallas, will furnish document management, imaging and data entry services to the agency, company officials said.
The process involves assembling HRA case documents from various points in New York City. Once assembled, the documents are taken to a central location to be inventoried, scanned and indexed. After a quality control inspection, the documents are added to the administration's internal imaging system for use by its staff.
ACS provides business process and information technology outsourcing services to the government and commercial sectors. The company ranks No. 68 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
