Pragmatics, Inc. will assist the Homeland Security Department to monitor and evaluate information technology governance and projects under a new contract that could be worth up to $36 million.

The contract was awarded under DHS' Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions program.

Pragmatics, of McLean, Va., will provide independent verification and validation technical support services to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Office of Information Technology. The contract has one base year base and four option years.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is responsible for the administration of immigration and naturalization adjudication tasks and for establishing immigration services policies and priorities. Pragmatics will provide systems engineering support to enable the agency to monitor and evaluate information technology governance and projects through assessments, process and procedure audits, project and performance management, and systems analysis and design.

The company will provide quality assurance, test and evaluation, IT security auditing, Capability Maturity Model Integration assessment, and independent verification and validation strategic and management support. Pragmatics will use its automated tools for the project.
