Dell, Mobile Armor forge data encryption alliance

Mobile Armor signed a reseller agreement with Dell to sell Mobile Armor's Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 certified encryption solutions. Mobile Armor officials hope the partnership will help grow its customer base.

"Leveraging Dell's existing relationships within the federal government and large enterprises across the country will give Mobile Armor the ability to deliver its data security solutions on a much broader scale," said Chand Vyas, chairman and chief executive officer at Mobile Armor.

Joe Ayers, area vice president of Dell's federal business, believes the partnership will benefit Dell's customers. "The strength of Mobile Armor's management platform gives us the flexibility and functionality needed to provide next-generation encryption solutions to our customers," he said.

Mobile Armor is based in St. Louis. Dell, of Round Rock, Texas, ranks No. 15 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
