SRA chalks up tactical-radio software win
SRA International will provide software and systems engineering, test and evaluation services for the development of radio transmission and network services products for DOD under a $108 million contract.
SRA International Inc. will provide software and systems engineering in addition to test and evaluation services for the development of radio transmission and network services products for the Defense Department under a five-year, $108 million contract.
The follow-on contract is under DOD's Joint Program Executive Office, Joint Tactical Radio System, Network Enterprise Domain.
Under the contract, SRA will provide a range of program management, acquisition and finance support, information assurance, logistics and technical management.
The Joint Tactical Radio System program is a DOD-wide initiative to develop a family of advanced software-based communications that will replace current radio equipment throughout the U.S. military. The program seeks to provide secure Internet-like capabilities and networking for voice, text, audio and video.
SRA, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 33 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
