SAIC lands Navy task order

Science Applications International Corp. will provide a wide range of information technology support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center at Dahlgren, Va., under a new five-year task order worth as much as $48 million.

Under terms of the contract, Seaport Enhanced task order, the Surface Ship Undersea Warfare office will receive program management support, systems and software engineering, systems integration and testing, and documentation support and training for its combat, control and situational awareness systems. SAIC will perform the work primarily at the Dahlgren facility.

This task order adds to the more than 16 years of SAIC's continuous support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, said Tom Baybrook, senior vice president and business unit general manager at SAIC.

SAIC of San Diego ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
