Orizon scores new federal work

Orizon Inc., an 8(a) information technology services firm in Rockville, Md., has recently won several contracts worth a total of about $13 million. The contracts include new business and extensions of existing agreements.

Among the wins are:

• A three-year, $3.9 million contract awarded by the Housing and Urban Development Department to Orizon, which will provide a customized business intelligence architecture for the agency's Office of Single Family Asset Management. The work will take place in Rockville and in Oklahoma City, Okla.
  
• A one-year, $1 million contract from the Homeland Security Department to support the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer Human Capital Business Systems. Under the contract, Orizon will provide program management support and institute an information technology capital planning and investment control process managed by the program management office. Orizon has been performing similar work under a previous contract since 2005.
  
• The expansion of an existing contract between Orizon and the General Services Administration's Federal Acquisition Service, under which Orizon provides technical support for the FAS Willow Wood Plaza and Central Office region. The contract, originally worth about $800,000 but now valued at $5.6 million, spans five years.
  
• And a three-year, $2.5 million contract awarded to Orizon by the State Department to support the Information Resource Management Planning Office. Orizon's work will include estimating the costs of planning, development and deployment of enterprise system and network technology.
