Pragmatics to continue DISA work
DISA has awarded a task order to Pragmatics Inc. that will allow the company to continue its work for the Global Command and Control System-Joint.
The Defense Information Systems Agency has awarded a task order to Pragmatics Inc. that will allow the company to continue its work for the Global Command and Control System-Joint, known as GCCS-J.
The task order, which DISA issued under its Next Generation Engineering Contract, is worth nearly $10 million for the McLean, Va., company. Pragmatics' work is for the GCCS-J's Joint Operation Planning and Execution System.
JOPES is what makes many of the GCCS-J's functional capabilities available to Joint Staff and Unified commands as their primary conventional war planning tools and capabilities. The military uses JOPES for logistics. It aids in the planning and executing of mobilization, deployment and sustainment activities for joint operations, according to an Army document.
Art Gomez, vice president and general manager of the company's software engineering division, noted that the company has earned Capability and Maturity Model - Integration level 4, just one step shy of the highest CMMI rating.
Pragmatics provides software engineering, systems engineering, information assurance, program management and network operations and management services.
