CACI International Inc. will acquire Athena Innovative Solutions Inc., of Alexandria, Va. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.CACI, of Arlington, Va., said that the acquisition will strengthen its intelligence capabilities ? 95 percent of Athena's 600 employees have at least top-secret security clearances ? and add an expected $110 million in revenue for 2007.ITT Corp. bolstered its high-end systems integration and defense work with a $1.7 billion offer for EDO Corp., of New York.ITT of White Plains, N.Y., was attracted to EDO's defense electronics capabilities, which fit well with its sensing and surveillance capabilities, the company said.The deal is expected to close in early 2008.Private-equity group Monitor Clipper Partners Inc. of Cambridge, Mass., has invested in Olive Group FZ-LLC of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, a provider of critical infrastructure protection and security solutions.The investment will let Olive Group make acquisitions and pay for other growth needs.Olive Group chief executive officer David Langstaff steered Veridian Corp. through several acquisitions, an initial public offering and a $2 billion sale to General Dynamics Corp. in 2003.Scitor Corp., a 1,200-person, employee-owned company, has been acquired by a private-equity group.Leonard Green and Partners LLP of Los Angeles has bought the Herndon, Va., company. Most of Scitor's employees have high-level government security clearances. The company provides engineering and management consulting services to defense and intelligence agencies.The terms of the deal were not disclosed.Jefferies Quarterdeck represented Scitor on the deal. Its affiliate, Jefferies Finance, and GE Capital helped arrange the financing for the transaction.
