SysTest Labs Inc. has added software security testing services to its offerings through a partnership with Fortify Software Inc. SysTest serves state agencies and commercial clients.
Denver-based SysTest has become a Certified Solutions Provider through its partnership with Fortify, able to perform software security testing throughout the development process, according to a company announcement. It is adding that service to its existing line-up of quality assurance and application performance testing.
"Humans write software code, and humans make errors," said Brian Phillips, president of SysTest.
"Application security is a key component of any secure enterprise, although it's often overlooked," said Ron Wood, SysTest Labs' security practice director. "Though others build walls and locks around their networks, the application is still vulnerable if the physical controls are compromised. SysTest Labs' new service helps eliminate these vulnerabilities."
SysTest Labs is one of only three U.S. companies to be accredited by the Election Assistance Commission and certified by Voting System Test Laboratories to test electronic voting system hardware and software, according to the company.
