For the nation's new national tax system, BearingPoint will deploy SAP business software designed specifically for public sector clients. The system combines customer relationship management and financial management functionalities.

The Finance Ministry will use the system to improve revenue flow through more efficient tax collection, reduce the amount of tax fraud and give citizens electronic access to their tax records.

BearingPoint's Emerging Markets practice, which will oversee the work, provides management, economic and technology consulting services to about 50 countries.

BearingPoint ranks No. 24 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
