ACS signs renewal with Calif. municipality

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has won a three-year, $17 million contract renewal from Riverside, Calif., to continue supplying information technology services. ACS has worked with the city since 1997.

Under the agreement, ACS will provide project management and help desk, desktop, network, application, system and geographic information services. The contract includes two one-year renewal options.

The company also is working closely with officials to finalize the city's annual information technology strategic plan, Steve Reneker, Riverside's chief information officer, said in a company news release.

Riverside is the county seat of Riverside County and is part of the Greater Los Angeles area. It has a population of more than 305,000.

ACS of Dallas ranks No. 58 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
