Allen will replace outgoing president Paul Caggiano. The coalition represents almost 370 government contractors, ranging from small firms to major companies supplying commercial items to government agencies.

Bill Gormley, president and chief executive officer of the Washington Management Group and Federal Sources Inc., will become chairman of the Coalition.

Allen has been with the Coalition, which was founded in 1979, for 17 years. Caggiano had first become president of the group in 1981. Gormley, former assistant commissioner for the office of acquisition at the General Services Administration, became president and CEO of the Washington Management Group in 2003.
