Bradson Corp. is merging with Kforce Government Solutions. Both are subsidiaries of Kforce Inc.

Bradson Corp., a government finance and accounting services provider, is merging with Kforce Government Solutions, an information technology company. Both are subsidiaries of Kforce Inc.

Officials said the idea behind the expanded Kforce Government Solutions is to combine the core capabilities of each company and provide government clients with a greater range of services in information technology, enterprise data management, financial and accounting solutions and onshore outsourcing.

Kforce acquired Bradson in October 2006. Bradson's key customers include the Defense and Homeland Security departments. The company reported about $26.6 million in revenue for fiscal 2006.

Kforce Government Solutions of Fairfax, Va., provides finance and accounting services to DOD and civilian agencies, including the Education, Housing and Urban Development, Interior and State departments.

"Nothing is going to change with our current clients or our current service delivery," said Jim Chapman, executive vice president of the merged KGS. "I envision new offerings in information security, intelligence security, data archival and things like that."

Bradson will add some 240 employees to KGS, most of whom work onsite with their clients, Chapman said. Bradson plans to close its offices in Arlington, Va., in about a month. "We are going to consolidate our headquarters and operations out in Fairfax," he said.

The merger will be completed July 2 after the legal details and incorporation procedures are completed, he said.
