SI Int'l wins $138M outsourcing deal
SI International Inc. will supply business process outsourcing services to the Patent and Trademark Office through a contract worth $138 million over 10 years.
SI International Inc. will supply business process outsourcing services to the Patent and Trademark Office through a contract worth $138 million over 10 years.
Under the contract, SI International of Reston, Va., will assist the office with pre-grant publication classification services to support its mission to examine, grant and distribute patents and trademarks.
The company will furnish documentation classification services, software and electronic performance support tools and technologies to build an integrated system, capable of determining appropriate patent classifications for pre-grant publications.
SI International expects to help the agency classify 38,000 patent applications each month.
SI International ranks No. 40 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
