National Guard calls up General Dynamics for services support

General Dynamics Information Technology has won a contract worth up to $20 million over five years to support the National Guard Bureau in a range of personnel, financial, planning and logistics functions.

The blanket purchase agreement was awarded to Anteon Corp., which was acquired by General Dynamics Corp. in June. The former Anteon and General Dynamics Network Systems make up General Dynamics IT.

The contract calls for General Dynamics IT to deliver professional support in civilian and military personnel operations, force modernization and planning, logistics management and budget tracking, among other areas. General Dynamics also will support services for chaplains, families and medical units.

General Dynamics of Falls Church, Va., has about 81,900 employees and had annual revenue of $21.2 billion in fiscal 2005. The company ranks No. 4 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
