Under the five-year agreement, Knowledge Consulting Group of Reston, Va., will support TSA's IT Security Office, Director of IT Security and Office of the Chief Information Officer with information assurance support services and direct related support services.
The IT Security Office, within the Office of the Chief Information Officer, is the IT security oversight arm for TSA.
Through an initial task order worth about $3.4 million, Knowledge Consulting Group will furnish on-site support to TSA within the next 30 days. Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., will serve as subcontractor to Knowledge Consulting Group on the program.
Knowledge Consulting Group offers information assurance services to the Defense Department and civilian and intelligence agencies. The services include network vulnerability and risk assessment, system certification and accreditation, network intrusion detection, incident analysis and handling and cyber security policy development and implementation.
