Companies making the list are ranked according to the growth of their government business from 2001 through 2005.
Last year's winners included companies such as Merlin Technical Solutions Inc. of Greenwood Village, Colo., which ranked No. 1 with a compound annual growth rate of 361.9 percent.
The Fast 50 list is part of Washington Technology's annual small business special report, which will be published in the Oct. 16 issue.
