Lockheed Martin closes ISX buy

Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Laboratories, based in Cherry Hill, N.J., will manage the ISX business. ATL is Lockheed Martin's advanced-computing, applied research and development facility.
The company originally had announced the acquisition on June 12. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ISX focuses on IT solutions in technology engineering and systems integration; command and control, communications, computers and intelligence; and information and knowledge management. About 90 percent of ISX business comes from the Defense Department.
Lockheed Martin of Bethesda, Md., has about 135,000 employees and had annual sales of $37.3 billion in fiscal 2005. The company ranks No. 1 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
