Tyler Technologies Inc. will re-evaluate 6,400 commercial and industrial properties for Utah County, Utah, through an outsourcing contract worth $1.2 million.

Tyler Technologies Inc. will re-evaluate 6,400 commercial and industrial properties for Utah County, Utah, through an outsourcing contract worth $1.2 million.

Under the contract, Tyler of Dallas will conduct land valuation, neighborhood delineation, final valuation and other analytical activities. It will do this by taking digital photos, collecting relevant data and using personal digital assistants to sketch properties in the field.

Tyler will work with county officials to develop the valuation model. During the project, contractor and county employees will use the county's geographic information system database and other databases to aid in the efforts.

Tyler's CLT division, which offers mass appraisal, property tax software and reassessment outsourcing services, will handle the work.

Utah County encompasses about 2,000 square miles and contains the cities of Provo and Orem.

Tyler furnishes information management software and services to local governments. The company has about 1,400 employees and had annual sales of $170.5 million in fiscal 2005.
