SRA nails down Army range facility system work

SRA International Inc. won a five-year, $16.6 million contract from the Army to deliver a variety of technical services to support a computerized system that helps manage activities at Army and Marine Corps range facilities.

Under the contract, SRA of Fairfax, Va., will operate and enhance the Army's Range Facility Management Support System. The system, which furnishes Army installation managers with critical functions, is used at more than 100 Army and Marine Corps bases, camps and installations and helps provide training support.

If an optional task is awarded, SRA will convert the system to a Web-based system.

SRA, which has 4,900 employees and had annual sales of $881 million in fiscal 2005, ranks No. 27 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors. The 2006 list will be released May 15.
