Mississippi re-ups ACS for Medicaid support
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. signed a four-year, $100 million contract renewal with Mississippi's Division of Medicaid to continue supporting the state's Medicaid program.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. signed a four-year, $100 million contract renewal with Mississippi's Division of Medicaid to support the state's Medicaid program in several ways, which include administering Web-based eligibility and drug rebate systems.
ACS of Dallas will perform fiscal agent operations and administer program services that cover system development, implementation and management for Medicaid management information system, eligibility determination, and pharmacy benefits management systems.
The company has performed fiscal agent operations and program administration for the state since 2001.
In addition, ACS' Envision offers a Web portal for authorized users to access program data and perform processing functions. It also offers enhanced decision support system, fraud-detection systems, and interaction management with call-center and correspondence management.
The company, which has 55,000 employees and had annual sales of $4.3 billion in fiscal 2005, ranks No. 51 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors. The 2006 list will be released May 15.
