ManTech lands DHS partnership program work

ManTech International Corp. won a four-year, $7.1 million contract to support the Homeland Security Department's efforts in sharing information with its state, local and private-sector partners.

The Fairfax, Va., company will provide services under the U.S. Public Private Partnership (USP3) Engineering and Management Support program. ManTech will supply a Web-based collaboration and information sharing portal, an emergency resource registration system, and a nationwide alert and warning notification system. The company also will offer training, operations and maintenance services and manage the program that supports the system.

USP3 is an unclassified network for two-way information-sharing that gives DHS' operations center one-step access to an array of industries, agencies and critical infrastructures across public and private sectors. It also furnishes DHS with a growing base of locally knowledgeable experts and delivers real-time access to critical information.

DHS expanded USP3 to include critical infrastructure owners and operators in all states, centered regionally near Dallas, Seattle, Indianapolis and Atlanta. The system communications with almost 40,000 members and is expected to grow to 200,000 members.

ManTech has more than 6,000 employees and had annual revenue of $980.3 million in fiscal 2005. The company ranks No. 21 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
