IT services center sought; Korean command needs IT services; DISA asks for proposals
The Army needs a distribution and coordination center within 49 miles of Fort McPherson, Ga., for IT services and capabilities as part of its Digital Video and Imagery Distribution Service hub.The chosen contractor must manage multiple satellite communications networks covering the Middle East and Central Asia and handle at least 12 simultaneous signals from satellite and fiber paths.Contractor staff must edit raw content and develop programming and coordination to make interviews with troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan available to U.S. and international media organizations. They also must develop and maintain the hub's Web site and content portal.Responses are due by May 30. Contact Sandra Baxley at sandra.baxley@us.army.mil.The Army needs IT services for classified, unclassified and coalition systems for its Network Enterprise Technology Command in South Korea.The services include installing, operating, administering and maintaining systems for network management, security monitoring, operating and network application at several sites. The work will be done primarily at Camp Walker in Daegu. The contract may be for one year with four option years.Responses are due by July 27. Contact Pamela Garnes at pamela.garnes@netcom.army.mil.The Defense Information Systems Agency wants proposals for its annual Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration, scheduled for May 29-June 22, 2007.The event will demonstrate solutions for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems that enhance interoperability. It will investigate technologies that can be put into operation within 12 to 18 months.The interoperability trials include evaluations of hardware and software solutions and may be assessed on their security capabilities, warfighter and operator capabilities or technical and interoperable capabilities.Responses are due by Sept. 30.
