Through the purchase, Kenexa of Wayne, Pa., will acquire expertise in staffing and human capital management, which it can use to break into the government sector, company officials said.
Knowledge Workers has furnished human resource consulting and technology-based support services to government clients for nearly two decades.
"With the impending labor shortage in the public sector, talent acquisition and retention solutions will become increasingly important," said Rudy Karsan, Kenexa's chief executive officer. "We anticipate that Knowledge Workers' relationships in the federal government sector will better enable Kenexa to enter this key vertical market."
Kenexa offers outsourcing, employee research and software for workforce recruiting and retention.
The privately held company had annual sales of $65.6 million in fiscal 2005, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
