DARPA re-ups CACI for program management
CACI International Corp. won a four-year, $49 million contract renewal from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to continue providing various forms of program and technical assistance to its technology office.
CACI International Corp. won a four-year, $49 million contract renewal from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to continue providing acquisition, financial, programmatic and scientific technical assistance to the agency's Information Processing Technology Office.
CACI will perform the services at the office in Arlington, Va. The Information Processing Technology Office develops next-generation computational and information processing systems and technologies for the Defense Department.
DARPA issued the award under the Navy's SeaPort Enhanced contract vehicle, called SeaPort-e. The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract lets participating military customers simplify procurements, expedite purchasing and reduce costs.
DARPA is responsible for identifying, evaluating and advancing new technology and research. CACI also provides business support to the agency's Information Exploitation Office, which focuses on developing emerging technologies to improve the nation's defense.
CACI of Arlington, Va., which offers IT and network solutions to the federal government, has about 10,100 employees and had annual revenue of more than $1.6 billion for fiscal 2005.
The company ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal IT prime contractors. The 2006 Top 100 list will be released May 15.
