Senate seeks provider for Web-based learning management system

The Senate wants to know whether there any vendors that can deliver a Web-based commercial learning management product. In a recent posting to FedBizOpps.gov, the Senate asked interested vendors if they can meet a set of requirements and produce an online, nonhosted Learning Management System.

The LMS must support the Senate sergeant-at-arms in course and student administration and must also comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which requires agencies to make their IT services accessible to people with disabilities.

Interested vendors are required to produce a product that includes self-registration for users, email configuration, a search and print function, course prerequisites, group courses by curriculum and topic and student transcripts.

Responses are due March 24, according to the notice.
